The Power Of Songs

Power Song Story with Michael Riley - I Love You Forever

Chris Estes

In this episode, I welcome back guest Michael Riley to share another "power song story." Michael tells us about the impact of Tye Tribbett's song "I Love You Forever," describing how it lifts up Jesus and reminds him to give glory to God even through difficult times. This episode captures the essence of what I love about these short power song stories - they highlight the effect music can have on our lives and faith.

Chris Estes:

all right, um, cool, all right. So we're back. Uh, welcome back to the power of songs. This is the power song story. Um, michael was on last week. Great podcast dove into a lot of things. Um, you shared a powerful song story there a couple of those, but this one is a specific one that has really impacted you. You've seen the power and I love doing these little short power song stories. So, michael, let's take it away man.

Michael Riley:

This song by Ty is called I Love you Forever. It's fairly new on one of his albums, but it is a special song to me, honestly, the way it lifts up jesus and gives glory to him. Even through the stuff you go through it reminds your soul to love him forever and give glory to him forever, honestly, yeah yeah, I love those songs, man.

Chris Estes:

I saw ty on the reunion tour last year with israel's out for a bunch of that run and it was Israel, the Clark sisters, ty, tamla and what's her husband's name? Tamla Mann and David.

Michael Riley:

Mann.

Chris Estes:

He's funny, the guy is funny funny, he was Mr Brown on top of the parade Kirk Franklin, and every night when Ty sang that song dude, it was like arenas, just like had the moment Great song. Check it out if you guys haven't heard it. It's got one of those like um, is that repeating chorus?

Michael Riley:

that, just like sticks with you. It's an anthem, man. Yeah, once you get there's no verse. Yeah, oh, there's no verse.

Chris Estes:

Yeah, it's just that, yeah okay, because I was when that night. They were doing like medleys and like snippets of songs.

Michael Riley:

I never knew that that didn't have. It's literally just I love you forever. And then we give glory to god forever, like that's all, yeah dude, thanks for sharing that song story.

Chris Estes:

Thank you, chris, and uh thanks for being back on. Yes, sir, outro Music.
